Surelock had been approached by a number of trademark holders who were each having problems with counterfeits of their garments being sold in various stores across Switzerland. It was also established that one particular store was selling these counterfeits all over Europe via the internet.

Surelock operatives on one occasion visited this particular wholesaler, whose premises were situated in the heart of a small Swiss village. Although a relatively small store, it was exceedingly well stocked. We also identified a nearby warehouse used by the proprietor to tranship the garments all over Europe by mail order. We covertly gathered evidence and intelligence as part of the ongoing major investigation being conducted all over Switzerland.

On our next visit, we travelled to the various cities in Switzerland, covertly gathered evidence from the stores selling these counterfeits and made test purchases. We held meetings with the Swiss Police and specialist lawyers and produced a detailed evidential package for them.

As a result, the wholesaler and several of the stores were prosecuted and Surelock operatives were commended by the presiding judge for their professionalism.
