Surelock’s Brand Protection Team on behalf of our clients TRAP (Trademark and Rightsholders Against Piracy) a worldwide collective of rights holders and publishers working with the biggest names in music, film, TV, art and sport, worked for 5 years on this case, one of the worst counterfeit sites in our history, it was not the Court result we had hoped for, but a Conviction none the less, our thanks go to St Helens Council Trading Standards who worked very hard to bring about this result –

Surelock’s Cheating Partner Surveillance

Domestic / Cheating Partner Surveillance is very prevalent, we are often contacted by worried people who are concerned that their partner is not being faithful.

The first thing we do is to have a chat with them and establish why they have these fears, sometimes they ask us to carry out a week’s surveillance, and we explain “You cannot make surveillance happen, it has to be intelligence lead” we are not the type of company that just wants the instruction and take the money, we always want to give the best possible service and a week surveillance would be very costly.

After having a chat many have the courage to go ahead. It is sad to say that over 90% of the domestic surveillances cases we have dealt with, the client’s worst fears are usually correct.

We would conduct a short period of surveillance utilising at least a three-man team, video record and gather all the intelligence, supplying the client with a detailed log of events with selected photos, which can be used in any legal proceeding.

If you have these fears do not hesitate to contact us, we will discuss all the options, so you know the costs and exactly what is involved.

You will be in safe hands, so if you have a need for this professional service, please contact us https://www.surelock.org/contact-us

Is it OK to Hire a Private Investigator?

Do you have suspicions that your partner is cheating on you? Are you a business owner who suspects fraud may be taking place within your company? Has somebody important to you run away or gone missing and the police have run out of resources? If you’re looking for a private investigator, chances are you’re dealing with at least one of these issues. Private investigators act independently from traditional law enforcement and have the skills, equipment, and technology available to deal with both domestic and professional problems.

However, with the nature that comes with private investigation, you may be wondering if it’s ok to hire a private investigator. Both legally and morally yes, it is ok to hire a private investigator to help you get to the bottom of problems you may be experiencing in your life. It may seem invasive or even a breach of privacy to have your partner, employee, or even child surveyed, but any information gathered during the course of private investigations is kept strictly confidential between the investigator and the person who hired them.

Here at Surelock, we are experts when it comes to providing private investigator services to our clients in London and the surrounding areas. We strive to maintain a professional approach with each and every investigation we conduct and guarantee to conduct a thorough and unshakable surveillance each and every time. As we are professionals in the industry with years of experience providing our services, we’re here to share with you everything a private investigator can offer you, and why it’s undoubtedly ok to hire one.

What Can a Private Investigator Do?

There are a variety of situations where you may require information on a person or even a group of people, which is where private investigators come in. Private investigation services can provide answers, closure, and put your mind at ease when you need a situation looked into but you aren’t sure where to start.

Private investigators can help you with a variety of issues, whether this is to assist in criminal investigations, catch a cheating partner, or gather evidence of fraud. Our team at Surelock have come together to create a list of some of the main reasons why our clients come to us for our private investigation services.

Fraud Investigations

Both individuals and businesses can benefit from private investigation services where fraud may have occurred, being able to conduct surveillance and review documents to see whether fraud has indeed been committed. This can include credit card fraud, insurance fraud, and fraud that could be taking place within your business.

For businesses, private investigators can conduct background checks on potential employees to minimise the risk of issues occurring later should they have a history of fraud, and can be used to investigate embezzlement claims or theft.

People Tracing

Tracing a person could be for locating a missing person, such as a runaway child, or for finding lost relatives. This process can be difficult, even impossible without the right level of training. Most people are limited to social media or the internet whereas private investigators have the tools necessary to conduct an in depth investigation to trace a person.

There may be times when the person who is being traced does not want to get in touch with the person looking for them, but private investigation services can track them down and provide you with peace of mind that they are safe.

Sweeping for Bugs

Whether you own a business and you’re worried about competitors and rivals using recording devices to listen in on your conduct, or you’re worried about a person accessing your home and planting devices, a private investigator can provide you with a thorough sweep of an area to make sure that your conversations are secure.

While listening devices and bugs may seem like something that’s only found in films or fiction, we have found them in various hotel rooms, conference halls, and even homes across London and the surrounding areas. Private information can be used as blackmail or can provide business competitors with information on how you are succeeding with your business. By hiring a private investigator to conduct a bug sweep, you can guarantee that your information will remain private and can’t be used in negative ways.

Background Checks

Background checks are a great way to look into suspicious activity and provide you with ease about a person in your life, whether you are a business owner conducting a background check on a potential new hire, or an individual seeking to look out for a vulnerable person in the family.

Almost everybody has an online trail that can be found through Google or social media, however the information you may find won’t be hugely informative and most people can use social media to create an image of themselves that may not be entirely accurate. Private investigators have access to tools and equipment required to conduct a thorough search of the person you want checked, whether you want to look into fraud allegations, criminal convictions, or inconsistencies in claimed qualifications.

Process Serving

Many law firms that require legal documents delivered to a defendant or client use a private investigator for this, otherwise known as process serving. The main purpose of this is to inform a person that they are involved in a legal case and these people may occasionally need tracking down, which a private investigator is equipped and qualified to do in an efficient and professional way.

Though it can differ from firm to firm, process serving should be performed by a private investigator who has an understanding of the procedure chain and legal knowledge. Our private investigators at Surelock are experts at what they do and have all the skills and knowledge required to provide reliable process serving services.

Tracking a Person

Sometimes you may want to track somebody to make sure they are safe, such as a child or vulnerable relative, while other times you may suspect your partner of infidelity and wish to confirm your suspicions. Additionally, businesses who have company vehicles frequently use our services if they suspect their vehicles are being used outside of their intended purposes.

No matter your reasons, a private investigator can help you with tracking a person without them knowing about it. Using a variety of methods, from GPS tracking that are incredibly useful and provide real-time tracking via Google and Apple Maps, or simple on foot trailing to confirm or deny whether a person is doing what they claim to be.

There are many reasons why you may consider using a private investigator. We could go on all day about the services you can receive and the outcomes they offer, but if you would like to know more, check out the services we here at Surelock provide both for domestic and commercial purposes, including brand protection and security survey assessments

What Can’t a Private Investigator Do?

We’ve already covered some of the services a private investigator can provide in the UK, but if you’re interested in hiring a private investigator, it’s important to know what they aren’t allowed to do. It’s important to keep in mind that private investigators are independent from traditional law enforcement and also have to follow the laws of the UK while conducting their investigations, and some of the limits we have include:

Carrying Firearms: Due to the laws in the UK surrounding firearms, only specially trained police officers are able to carry a firearm, and these are typically only utilised in extreme situations. However, private investigators also cannot carry pepper spray, batons, or tasers as this is a breach of UK laws and legislation.

Access Private Communications: Rifling through private messages, emails, or physical letters is illegal in the UK, so as private investigators, we aren’t able to access this information for any reason. This doesn’t stop us from conducting our information however, and items that belong to clients and businesses can still be reviewed.

Mishandle Data: The Data Protection act is in place in the UK to protect confidential information and ensure that data gathered by private investigators is not mishandled. This means that our clients can rest assured that any data gathered during the course of our investigations is truthful, accurate, and has been gathered with a reasonable expectation of privacy.

Arrest Somebody: Even if a private investigator were to have sure fire evidence that a crime has taken place, they have no legal right to arrest somebody. While they can assist in criminal investigations, all information gathered can only result in an arrest when police are involved.

Trespass: Private property cannot be accessed or surveyed without the property owner’s permission, meaning that a private investigator will not be able to enter somebody’s home or continue to track them once away from a public space.

Tips to Catch a Cheater: From a Private Investigator

Dealing with a situation where you believe your partner may be cheating can be very difficult. You may have suspicions or even proof that your partner is having an affair, but you still need to find out the truth for yourself. Whether you want the information to make an informed decision on the next steps forward in your relationship, or you’re looking for closure that will allow you to move on and past this awful event, a private investigator may be the choice for you.

Here at Surelock, we are dedicated private investigators in London with years of experience providing investigation services to our clients. Whether it’s to catch a cheating partner, locate a missing person, or assisting in fraud investigations, we are highly experienced and committed to providing outstanding service. If you suspect that your partner is cheating, then it might be time to hire a private investigator. Think your partner is cheating? Here are some things that you can do for yourself that may help catch them in the act.

Look for Suspicious Behaviour

Some common indications of infidelity tend to come from the guilt your partner may feel at their affair, which can cause them to redirect this back onto you. For example, has your partner accused you of having an affair out of the blue? Maybe they’ve become a lot more protective of their phone or other communication tools? Are they spending more money than usual or eating out more often? While some of these can be attributed to a change in routine or circumstance, they can also be some of the first warning signs that your partner is cheating.

Check Your Partners Phone

Our team at Surelock, we would never suggest going through your partner’s phone without their explicit permission, however when it comes to cheating partners, informing them of your plans to check their calls or text logs can give them time to delete any and all evidence that may be present. One way to do this is to ask for permission to check their phone and watch them to make sure they cannot get rid of text conversations or call records first.

Monitor Email Activity

Your spouse may also be sending emails from their phone that you don’t know about. If you have access to it, check the sent folder on their laptop or computer and look at the dates and times of the emails being sent out. Additionally, some email providers even retain deleted messages in a separate folder for a set amount of time, something many people aren’t aware of but can be accessed for further investigation.

Check Social Media Pages

If your spouse is active on social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat, you can pay attention to new friends or followers who may be communicating more frequently with your partner. For a more in depth investigation, a private investigator can also check for deleted posts that might show evidence of an affair such as a relationship status change or posting photos with another person who isn’t known by friends or family members.

How to Find a Reliable Private Investigator

If you’re looking for a private investigator to help you uncover whether or not your partner is truly cheating on you or not, it’s important to go with somebody who is committed and reliable, able to investigate professionally and not have bias before or during the investigation. Here at Surelock, our London based team has a couple of tips to make sure you’re finding a private investigator that meets your needs.

Get Recommendations

Do you know anyone who has required the services of a private investigator? Word of mouth recommendations are still extremely common within the industry. This would be one of the best ways to find a good private investigator that has previously been hard working and reliable. You can also ask a person you already know and trust about their experience with these experts so that you can determine whether or not they were satisfied with their services.

Cheap Doesn’t Mean Reliable

You should take time researching each company before choosing one of them because there are many companies out there that offer low rates but do not provide quality services at all. You need to make sure that the company has a good reputation so that you can be confident in their work and know that they will deliver results without any problems at all. While private investigator services aren’t always cheap, the general rule tends to be that you get what you pay for, so choosing a service simply based on price can lead to unsatisfactory results.

Why Hire a Private Investigator?

There are many reasons why you may want to hire a private investigator. Perhaps you’re on the hunt for a missing person, maybe you suspect that your spouse is cheating on you or using drugs, or maybe you’re just curious about what your teenager is up to when they’re supposed to be at school.

Here at Surelock, we are dedicated private investigators with years of experience in the industry and we have seen time and time again the effects hiring a London based private investigator can have on our clients! Whatever the reason, hiring a private investigator can be an invaluable resource in helping you get answers and find the truth. Here are just a few of the reasons why hiring a private investigator could be beneficial for you or your family:

Investigative Services

A private investigator has more experience than most people who work in law enforcement or criminal justice. This is because they have been working for years and have dealt with numerous cases during that time. Most of these cases were extremely difficult and required great skill, patience, and determination on behalf of the investigator involved in order for them to be solved successfully. As a result, if there is something going on in your life, then chances are that a private investigator will have seen something similar before and know what kind of steps should be taken in order to resolve it properly.

Locate Missing Persons

One of the main reasons people hire private investigators is to help them find someone who is missing. The loved one could be a child, parent, or even grandparent, but the goal is the same: to find that person and make sure they are safe. This is a terrible situation for anyone to go through, so hiring a private investigator can be a lifesaver and provide a fresh perspective on existing investigations.

Gathering Evidence

Another reason why people hire private investigators is to uncover evidence of criminal activity. Sometimes, people commit crimes without knowing that they are committing them. Other times, they are aware that what they are doing is illegal but they do not care because they believe they will never get caught anyway. In both of these situations, there may be evidence left behind by the perpetrator of the crime which may help law enforcement officials put together enough evidence to convict him or her in court.

Investigative Resources

Another reason why it is important to hire a private investigator is because they have access to resources that the average citizen does not have. They can access databases, court records, and other sources of information that may be relevant to your case. They can also obtain information about individuals who may have been involved in criminal activity by accessing these databases as well as interviewing potential witnesses or suspects involved in your case.

Committed to Achieving Results

One more reason why it is important to hire a private investigator is because they will work tirelessly on your behalf until your case has been solved completely or until you are satisfied with their findings regarding your situation at hand. Many people who choose private investigators find them more reliable than police detectives because they don’t have the same pressures as police officers do when investigating cases involving crimes.

Business Investigations

Finally, there are many businesses who hire private investigators to work on their behalf because they want to make sure that no one takes advantage of them when it comes down to making money. Businesses can be especially vulnerable when it comes down to employee theft or fraud because employees have access to confidential information about their employer’s finances and other sensitive information that could be used against them if it ever fell into the wrong hands.

What are Private Investigators?

Private investigators are professionals who work in the fields of surveillance, investigation, and security. They help people solve problems related to their personal life and business matters by providing them with information they might not be able to access on their own. The private investigator services include:

Missing Persons

Missing persons are perhaps the most common case handled by private investigators. They can find missing people using several methods like tracking devices or GPS trackers as well as online databases such as missing persons registries or fingerprinting services.

Fraud Investigations

Private detectives help businesses uncover fraudulent activities within their company by conducting investigations into employees suspected of stealing money or embezzlement. Fraud investigations may also be used for insurance claims or criminal cases where evidence must be gathered for prosecution purposes.

Surveillance

A private investigator can follow someone without being detected if necessary, which makes them useful for cases involving cheating spouses or other forms of illegal activity that require secrecy.
