Ron Harrison our MD served on many specialist squads at Scotland Yard, investigating the most serious of crimes. It was during this time that a unique team of undercover officers was formed to tackle major criminals, these officers were extremely dedicated often putting themselves in potential harm; to get the best evidence to enable that the most serious criminals were prosecuted.
In the private sector Surelock also use trained and experienced undercover officers, who are deployed in areas or businesses to gather intelligence particularly regards our intellectual property / counterfeit investigations.
Investigations
Our undercover team are quite exceptional and have been responsible for identifying major criminals and locating premises where counterfeit and dangerous goods are stored.
Together we have achieved some of the UK’s largest seizures of high-end designer goods working closely with investigators from Intellectual Property Office (IPO), City of London Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU), or Trading Standards, their evidence gathering is often praised by the authorities.
The team are deployed in specific businesses or areas in the UK and overseas, to gather intelligence / evidence, and must be careful with their own safety, their identities are very much protected.
All the evidence is recorded or covertly videoed for use in prosecutions, in our brand protection work, this expertise puts our company way ahead of our competitors, but we often share our intelligence with fellow members of The Anti-Counterfeiting Group, for the benefit of all.
Infiltration Investigations
Specialist operatives can be deployed for company infiltration investigations, where they join the workforce and work alongside staff to establish if there are any wrongdoings, either criminal or against company policy, gather evidence by either covert recording or video.
Penetration Tests
Penetration tests are a speciality, where the team covertly enter premises to test the security of a business or building, to establish if the security measures put in place are working, we record these visits for training purposes.
Mystery Shopper
Our national mystery shoppers are utilised for a number of reasons
