Being a member of a professional association is so important to us, albeit we were established in the 1990’s and have years of experience.

There are so many companies and individuals out there offering professional investigation and security consultancy services, some sadly with little or no experience at all, yet the unsuspecting clients / members of the public do not know this.

The Directors of Surelock and or our Operatives are proud members of: - The Association of British Investigators

The ABI was formed in 1913, is the home of professional private sector investigation in the UK. In an industry that’s still unregulated, they work tirelessly to raise standards and to see the credibility of members recognised.

Any investigator who applies for membership is rigorously vetted, he or she will have to produce a criminal records certificate that meets the ABI Policy Statement, hold adequate professional indemnity insurance and show sound financial probity. References are thoroughly checked, and membership is only offered following a face-to-face interview.

Only the best people make the grade, and you can rest assured you are dealing with professionals.

Ron Harrison the Managing Director of Surelock has been a member of the ABI for over 15 years and has served as its President for 3 years before standing down.

Having a network of experienced investigators is important in case we need help in locations we do not cover.

The World Association of Detectives

The purpose of the WAD is to promote and maintain the highest ethical practices in our profession and to foster and perpetuate a spirit of cooperation among members and allied organisations worldwide They endeavour to further and to establish a mutual feeling of trust, goodwill and friendship.

The W.A.D. is an outstanding and leading international organisation whose members are the leaders of their profession in their respective communities and countries.

So important for us with our international investigations.

The Association of Security Consultants

The ASC are the leading industry organisation for independent security professionals operating across the UK.

For over 30 years provide a network of highly skilled professionals ensuring clients get the very best advice for their particular security requirements.

To join the ASC, applicants must undergo a vetting process and peer review to verify they have the appropriate level of experience and qualifications to operate in their field. To maintain membership, members must demonstrate continuous professional development.

Security Consultants require a diverse set of skills, knowledge, and experience to effectively meet the demanding requirements of their clients. A proficient Security Consultant is more than a subject matter expert in any single discipline; they are dynamic professionals who combine a range of qualities to navigate the intricate landscape of safeguarding individuals, assets, and information.

ASC provide members with access to key decision makers and innovators in both the private and public sectors. This means they are kept up to date with developments in threats, technological solutions and industry best practice.

Stewart Brown, Surelock’s senior security consultant, is a well respected and long-time member of ASC.

The Anti-Counterfeiting Group

The ACG is an international voice of business, shaping an effective response to one of the world’s most insidious and menacing transnational crimes

Counterfeiting costs the UK economy estimated losses of £1.3 billion in unpaid tax, which could be used for essential public services. Instead, it falls into criminal hands and is used to finance human trafficking, drugs, weapons and child labour.

Worryingly, almost 40% of fake goods detained at European Borders have proved to be potentially dangerous to consumers. These included food and beverages, body care articles, medicines, electrical goods and toys.

ACG works relentlessly with UK, EU and international Governments and law enforcement agencies to shape an effective deterrent to counterfeiting, to protect business and consumers from the increasing dangers. ACG provide active assistance and intelligence to Governments and agencies and constantly work to change public perception about counterfeiting, by exposing it as a sinister global crime that damages economies, destroys jobs and increasingly threatens the health and safety of consumers across the world.

Membership of the ACG is so important to us for our brand protection work and anti-counterfeit investigations. Surelock works closely with the ACG Intelligence and Strategic Initiatives Manager, providing intelligence for joint operations.

Ex Police in Industry and Commerce

EPIC is the only business networking organisation exclusively for former staff and members of the police force.

All members have served either in the Police service, or HM Government security and investigation services.

These highly disciplined and professional organisations have allowed them to develop considerable and specialist skills in certain fields.

So important for us to have the credibility of such an organisation.

If you need any professional help, whether it be an investigation, security consultancy or brand protection, please do not hesitate to contact us, we will always provide the very best services at competitive rates.
