SURELOCK ALERT
It has been a particularly busy month for the Surelock team, with activity spanning electronic countermeasures, high-profile brand protection operations, online enforcement and specialist investigations. With Christmas fast approaching, the pace shows no sign of slowing down!
Our Electronic Countermeasures Sweep Engineer has completed three separate professional sweeps of office premises in Central London, helping clients protect their environments and address potential security risks.
Our Brand Protection Team has been out in force, carrying out two separate days of enforcement action in Camden. The operations resulted in the seizure of counterfeit goods relating to our clients, including music artists, LVMH, Tiffany and the NBA. The team has also been working across the UK to seize counterfeit and potentially dangerous NeeDoh squishy toys, helping to tackle the risks posed by unsafe products entering the marketplace. And there is plenty more to come. With the festive season approaching, further enforcement operations are being planned, while reconnaissance work is underway to identify counterfeit hotspots ahead of the Christmas rush.
Our online brand protection work continues to deliver results. Thousands of infringing items have been removed from selling platforms around the world on behalf of our clients Paddington Bear and Studiocanal. This ongoing work helps protect our clients’ intellectual property, combat the sale of infringing products and strengthen brand protection across international markets.
We have also continued to carry out specialist assignments on behalf of the law firms we work with, providing focused investigative support to help meet their clients’ requirements.
Ron and Stewart recently spent a day with our Marking Team in Sheffield, taking the opportunity to spend time with colleagues and gain a closer look at their work.
With Christmas fast approaching, our teams remain focused on delivering results, protecting our clients’ interests and taking action against counterfeiters. From on-the-ground enforcement to global online removals, it has been a month of meaningful activity, with plenty more planned in the weeks ahead.
